Convener Board of Advanced Studies and Research Admissions, University of Karachi, Professor Dr Muhammad Ahmed Qadri has notified that the results of the admission test for M. Phil, PhD, MS and MD 2017 have been uploaded on the website of the varsity. 1375 of 2970 candidates, who appeared in the entrance test, were declared successful. Passing percentage was 46.2%.

As many as 2527 students appeared in M. Phil admission test and of them 1133 were declared successful, 336 appeared in PhD admission test while 175 were declared successful. 63 students appeared in M.S admission test in which 44 were declared successful while 44 students appeared in M.D admission test while 23 students were declared successful.

In the faculty of social sciences, 736 students appeared in entrance test in which 376 were declared successful and passing percentage remained 51 percent. 1171 students appeared in faculty of science test in which 487 were declared successful and passing percentage remained 41 percent. 187 out of 312 students, who appeared in faculty of Islamic studies test, were declared successful and passing percentage remained 60 percent.

In the faculty of management and administrative sciences, 273 students appeared while 97 were declared successful and passing percentage remained 35.05 percent. 96 out of 212 students, who appeared in the faculty of pharmacy test, were declared successful and passing percentage remained 45 percent. 106 students appeared in the faculty of education test in which 53 students were declared successful and passing percentage remained 50 percent. 12 out of 52 students, who appeared in the faculty of law test, were declared successful and passing percentage remained 23 percent.
