Mercury is on the rise with every passing day after a spell of rain last week. The meteorological office sources said the temperature rose by two degree centigrade, to 38 degree centigrade, on Friday, comparing to Thursday. It has been predicted that cool breeze would hit the city by evening that would have positive impact on weather as the temperature would drop substantially.

According to the met office, the weather would remain hot and sunny during next 24 hours. Meanwhile, frequency of power outages was also multiplying with rise in temperature. A group of political activists also held protest outside the head office of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).
