The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Friday sealed six different food outlets including a juice production factory 'Lion Food' on the charges of flouting the hygiene rules and using substandard ingredients. As per information, the PFA team raided a juice production unit situated at Sundar Adda area and recovered 8,000 packets of Heaven Mango Juice made of substandard ingredients and 11,000 bottles of New Apple Soft Drink.

Different field teams of the Authority sealed one Deewan Bakers in Sabzazar Colony because of improper cleanliness arrangements, bad light, not covering the food items, absence of food business license and not having medical fitness certificates of the employees. While Aqua Saad Water Plant and Omais Water Plant was sealed by the Allama Iqbal Town teams of the Authority.

Two milk shops named as Bao Milk Shop and Salamat Milk Shop were sealed for not having medical fitness licenses, milk shop business license, improper cleanliness and mixing water in the milk. A large number of food outlets were either fined or issued warning for improvement in the situation by different teams.
