Sir Syed University, Aligarh Institute of Technology and Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association, jointly organized a condolence reference for Engr Z. A. Nizami to recall his services. The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor Sir Syed University Professor Dr Syed Jawaid H. Rizvi, Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali, Professor Dr Arshad Syed Karim, SQN LDR Nafees Rabbani, Principal AIT Dr Mahmood Pathan, heads of departments and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor SSUET, Jawaid Anwar said that the late Z.A. Nizami played a vital role in establishing the first engineering university in private sector viz. Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology knowing the fact that education makes society grow and bring positive change in the country. He said Nizami wanted to promote and transfer scientific knowledge and he was the first chancellor of Sir Syed University and worked hard for the development of the university.

Convenor AIT Engr Anwer Ali said that Zilley Ahmed Nizami had an excellent decision power. He used to take decision on spot and always owned his commitments. He said Nizami was a good town-planner and he changed the city structure of Karachi according to modern demands. Anwer further said that Nizami's skill and knowledge was used by the Government of Saudi Arabia in the extension of Holy Makkah and Medina city.-PR
