Activists of Fata Students Organisation (FSO) staged a rally against Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR). They demanded immediate merger of Fata with KP. The rally was headed by FSO central president Shaukat Aziz, Senior Chief Advisor, Haleem Orakzai, General Secretary Abdul Rahim, which started from Peshawar Press Club and culminated outside Governor House Peshawar.

The participants were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. They paid tribute to the supporters of ongoing reforms in Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

Shaukat Aziz while talking to reporters said that the life of tribal people had been made miserable due to imposition of FCR in Fata. He said, "Tribesmen are patriotic citizen of this country, which had played important role in protection of borders and rendered matchless sacrifices for their motherland." He said that tribal people had fled from their agencies, and spent miserable life in makeshift camps. He urged the government to announce a comprehensive package for rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged education infrastructure in Fata and also demanded of the government to merge Federally Administered Tribal Areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without any further delay.
