Federal government has withdrawn subsidy of Rs 400 per bag on fertilizer with immediate effect. Ministry of National Foods Security and Research has issued the following notification: Discontinuation of Fertilizer Subsidy Scheme for 2016-2017 In compliance of the approval of the Competent Authority the Fertilizer Subsidy Scheme for 2016-17 launched under the following Notifications is hereby discontinued with immediate effect:

i. For Urea: F. No 1-11/2012/DFSC-II/Fertilizers dated 25-06-2016 read with the Corrigendum issued on 23-08-2016.

ii. For DAP: F No 1-11/2012/DFSC-II/Fertilizers dated 25-06-2016 read with the Corrigendum issued on 23-08-2016.

iii. For SSP: F. No 1-11/2012/DFSC-II/Fertilizers dated 12-06-2016 read with the Corrigendum issued on 23-08-2016.
