Chairperson provincial Oversight & coordination cell for all public health and primary health care program, Azra Pechuho has asked all concerned officers and staff of health department to perform their duty honestly and warned them that there was no place for unwilling workers. She directed the concerned officers to take action against vaccinators, lady health workers and other staff who were not performing their duties properly

She was presiding over a divisional task force and polio eradication initiative meeting at Shahbaz hall on Saturday. She asked the officers to take action against those lady health workers and staff who found negligence in duty otherwise they would be held responsible.

Those children who were left over to immunize the anti-polio drops due to refusal of parents should be vaccinated with due motivation of their heirs, she advised and emphasized the need of formation a comprehensive system for vaccination of children against polio and other diseases. She asked to all District Health Officers and other concerned officers of the province to maintain and update their micro plans of vaccination during polio eradication campaigns. The higher authorities should be informed if the officers found any hurdle in implementation of their plans in letter and spirit, she added.

She also underlined the need of proper training to staff engaged in polio eradication campaign so that they could be able to achieve their tasks in better direction. Special attention should be given at the external and internal routes as well as the combined limitations of the two districts, she added. The Deputy Commissioners, District Health Officers and District Officers of the concerned departments of Hyderabad Division briefed the Chairperson Provincial Oversight and Coordination Cell for All Public and Primary Healthcare Programmes about the performance of polio eradication campaign in their respective districts.
