Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry accused the PTI of being a political party full of "turn courts" and having no clear-cut policy. "The PTI should come up with a clear stance that on which ground it wants to play this game," he said, while referring to contradictory statements by the PTI leaders from time to time.
"There is an umpire within the court [chief justice] on which the entire nation except the PTI has full confidence. We're confident the court will decide the case purely on merit," he said.
He claimed the PTI had launched a campaign against the Supreme Court judges with an objective to put pressure on the current bench hearing the Panama Leaks case. "This is very unfortunate to put pressure on the judges through such campaign...you cannot get a decision from the court by dictation," he said and hoped that it would block the last attempt of coming into power through backdoor, once the court gave its final judgement.
Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb accused Chairman PTI Imran Khan of hampering development of Pakistan by levelling baseless allegations against the third-time elected prime minister.
She said Imran Khan himself accepted in the court that he was only hurling accusations at the Prime Minister and did not have any evidence to prove his claim. "Imran Khan will get nothing from the case [Panama] except humiliation as he got after rigging allegations in 2013 general election," she maintained.
Another PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said the PTI had brought four questions to the apex court, prominently against the Prime Minister's involvement in money laundering, but after the new document submitted with the court, the PTI had proved that it had nothing against the Premier and only his daughter Mariam Nawaz was now being targeted.
"Khan Sahib! Bring evidence to the court instead of producing trashed papers again and again... PML-N has full confidence in all the judges of the apex court and we are committed to accepting whatsoever decision comes as a result of the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court," he added.
He even predicted that Nawaz Sharif would again be elected as the prime minister for the fourth time as a result of the 2018 general election, forgetting that the Constitution did not allow a fourth time premier. Another PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz said there was contradiction in the statements of lawyers in the court.
