The total export cargo of 24,931 tonnes comprised of 19,525 tonnes of containerised cargo; 100 tonnes of general cargo and 5,306 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. As many as 9,546 containers comprising of 3,992 containers import and 5,554 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The break-up of imported containers shows 1,783 of 20's and 1,023 of 40's loaded while 33 of 20's and 65 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 415 of 20's and 361 of 40's loaded containers while 1,121 of 20's and 1,648 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were six ships namely CMA CGM Puget, Prosper, Krania, Zealand Almera, BBC Bulgaria and Chang Hang Hao Hai carrying containers, rock phosphate and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were five vessels viz. Sima Giselle, Prosper, Selin D, Han Xin and BBC Vela carrying containers, oil tankers and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
There were two ships namely Wan Hai-511 and Han Xin carrying containers and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea on Tuesday, while four ships namely OOCL Italy, Citron, MT Lahore and Hong Master carrying containers, oil tankers and general cargo respectively are expected to sail on Wednesday.
There were seven vessels viz. KMTC Mumbai, Northern Dependant, Ever Diamond, MT Shalamar, MT Quetta, Zhen Hua-10 and Ocean Success carrying containers, oil tanker, crane and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Tuesday while five vessels viz. Kota Kamil, MOL Experience, Jeil Crystal, Al Mahboobah and Apiradee Naree carrying containers, oil tanker, chemical and coal respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 69,552 tonnes includes 24,086 tonnes of furnace oil; 1,300 tonnes of palm oil; 9,778 tonnes of canola seeds; 3,051 tonnes of LPG; 14,617 tonnes of coal and 16,720 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 24,889 tonnes includes 6,934 tonnes of rice and 17,955 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 1,825 containers comprising of 880 containers import and 945 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Tuesday. There were two ships namely CV Al-Bahia and MT Maria-III carrying containers and LPG respectively expected to sail on Tuesday afternoon. A total number of eight vessels viz. CV MSC Silvana, CV Al-Bahia, MV Mariman, MV Amoy Action, MV Glory Navigator, MT Igic Anka, MT Maria-III and MT Brizo currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, rice, coal, canola seeds, LPG, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as ten ships namely CV Maersk Detroit, MV Atlantic Glory, MV Saadong Halyao, MT Black Purl, MT Umm Bao, MT El-Kadel, MT Ser Enget-I, MT Distya Amely, MT Bochem Chennai and MT Bunga Allium carrying containers, chemical, soyabean seeds, LPG, LNG, furnace oil, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Tuesday.
There were four vessels viz. CV Maersk Detroit, MV Atlantic Glory, MT Umm Bao and MT Bochem Chennai carrying containers, chemical, LNG and palm oil respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, and Grains & Fertilizer Terminal, Engro Energy Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday. There were three ships namely MV Malta, MT Maran Gas Delphi and MT Al Dasma carrying chemical, LNG and diesel oil respectively due to arrive on Tuesday while two ships namely CV Maersk Stepnica and CV MSC Asya carrying containers are due to arrive on Wednesday.
