The train left the Peshawar Cantt Railway Station on the chilling cloudy morning at 9am with over 120 passengers on board including families and students from different institutions while the officials of TCKP also accompanied the picnickers.
The tour was in connection with a 6-month-long scheme planned by the TCKP to attract more tourists to the joyful excursion.
While reaching Attock Khurd, the participants of trip were briefed about the historical significance of the Railway Bridge and station along with other historical sites.
The participants and families were provided lunch boxes along with refreshments also by TCKP. The tour was in connection with a unique scheme that is planned by the Tourism Department for 6-months to attract more tourists to the unique and joyful excursion. They participants praised the tourism corporation for arranging such informative trip for them.
Officials said that TCKP is taking steps for promotion of tourism in the provinces, while arranging safari train excursion was part of that. They added the initiative basic aim to build a soft image of this region.
