DCO Salman Ghani, Parliamentarians Haji Akram Ansari, Chaudhry Asim Nazir, Mian Abdul Mannan, Begum Khalida Mansur, Sh Ejaz Ahmad, Muhammad Nawaz Malik, Faqir Hussain Dogar, Zafar Iqbal Nagra, Rana Shoib Idrees, Haji Khalid Saeed, Rai Usman Kharal, Fatima Fareeha, ADC Muhammad Shahid, ex-MNA Chaudhry Shahid Nazir, ex-Town Nazim Shehzad Malik, Chairman and Vice Chairmen of Union Councils, party workers and other notable personalities were also present in the functions.
Returning Officer/EDO Education Bashir Zahid Goraya administered oath from Chairman District Council Chaudhry Zahid Nazir and Vice Chairmen Khalid Parvez Virk, Rana Zulfiqar Khan and Rai Fiyaz Hussain Kharal at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium while RO/ADC District Rajanpur Tariq Khan Niazi administered oath from Mayor Muhammad Razzaq Malik and Deputy Mayors Sh Yousaf, Abdul Ghafoor Chaudhry and Amin Butt at Lyallpur Complex.
DCO Salman Ghani congratulated Chairman, Vice Chairmen of District Council, Mayor and Deputy Mayors of Municipal Corporation and elected representatives of local government and said elected members would start work from January 2. He said representatives of local govt and district administration would work together to serve people and development progress of the city and district. He also presented key of the city to elected Mayor Municipal Corporation Muhammad Razzaq Malik.
Chairman District Council Chaudhry Zahid Nazir thanked the Chairmen and said they would come up the expectation of the public and utilise all energies and capabilities for the rapid development of district and city. He said Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif carried out development work in every sector including health, education and roads etc, because of that reason people reposed their confidence and elected PML-N candidates in huge numbers.
Mayor Muhammad Razzaq Malik thanked the leadership, Provincial Minister Law Rana Sanaullah Khan, parliamentarians and Chairmen & Vice Chairmen of Union Councils for reposing confidence on him. Elected Mayor said encroachment was a chronic issue of the city and city would be cleaned from encroachment soon with the help of citizens. He said Faisalabad would be made more developed city. Meanwhile, oath taking ceremonies of seven Municipal Committees Jaranwala, Khurrianwala, Tandilianwala, Mamukanjun, Samundri, Dijkot and Chak Jhumra were also hold and Chairmen & Vice Chairmen took oath of their offices.
