On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,062. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.24 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,682. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR1.48 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.14 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 452.10 million, silver PKR 145.74 million, copper PKR 19.96 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.50 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 7 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 2.59 million was also traded.
