Cash basis bids for hard red winter (HRW) wheat were unchanged in the southern US Plains on Wednesday and farmers were reluctant to make fresh sales until the New Year, dealers said. Dry conditions remained a worry for dormant winter wheat in parts of Oklahoma and Kansas. Protein premiums for wheat shipped to and through Kansas City were unchanged. K.C. March HRW wheat settled down 9-1/4 cents at $4.09-1/2 per bushel.
