Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan announced on Tuesday that his party's legislators would continue to boycott the National Assembly despite the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's address to the joint session of the parliament on November 17. "We shall continue the boycott of parliament s long as Supreme Court's announces verdict in the Panama Papers case," he said speaking to media persons following a party meeting at his Banigala residence in Islamabad.
"We love and respect people of Turkey. We also respect the Turkish invitation and welcome their President in our country but we cannot endorse Nawaz Sharif by going to National Assembly," he said adding that in the wake of heavy corruption charges against Nawaz Sharif, and after all the laws they broke by shelling on KP Chief Minister's convoy, the PTI couldn't endorse him.
