Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Sajjad Ali Shah on Thursday heard a case in which ruling Pakistan People's Party's officials including Faryal Talpur are accused of committing embezzlement of Rs 90 billion funds. In his remarks, also reported by Aaj News and other private TV channels, the SHC chief justice said that even a hag spares 7 houses (in her neighbourhood) but not even PPP's hometown Larkana was spared by some people.

NNI adds: During the proceedings, the plaintiff told the court that money allocated for development plans was misappropriated by various PPP leaders including Faryal Talpur, sister of Asif Zardari and former provincial minister Ayaz Soomro.

Additional Advocate General Mustafa Mahesar denied the accusations saying that the claimant was blackmailing the government on behalf of someone else. He also demanded dismissal of petition against the PPP. SHC's CJ remarked that PPP government had not spared even Larkana from corruption. He said that he had witnessed the woeful condition of roads in Larkana. Subsequently, the court sought a formal written reply from the Sindh government in the next week.
