Sindh Rangers on Tuesday announced Rs 2.5 million on provision of credible information to identify the kidnappers of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice's (CJ) son. According to police, the Justice Sajjad Ali Shah's son Ovais Ali shah was kidnapped by unidentified masked men from outside a supermarket on Monday.

A Rangers spokesman in a brief statement said: "It is requested to the public that any credible evidence in connection with the kidnappers of Ovais Ali Shah may be sent via Rangers' whatsapp No-0316-2369996 or Email [email protected] . They can make call or sent videos and SMS on the paramilitary helpline No 1101. The informers names would be kept in secrete."

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah visited CJ SHC and assured him to utilise all resources to recover his son as earlier as possible. Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari telephoned the Sindh Interior Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal and asked him to ensure earlier recovery of kidnapped son of SHC CJ.

Meanwhile, a day after the abduction of the Ovais Ali Shah, the Paramilitary troops claimed to have arrested nearly a dozen of suspects in connection with the kidnapping case from various areas of the metropolis. A Rangers spokesman said the search operation was carried out in areas of Jamshed Town Liaqatabad, Orangi Town, Gaddap Keamari, Korangi, Clifton, Nazimabad, Malir etc. Weapons and ammunitions were also recovered from their possession during the course of action.
