The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on Sunday restrained leaders and workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) from heading to Chief Minister House on Sunday. MQM leader Amin-ul-Haq demanded of the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to hold negotiations with them over the matter of "missing persons".

"We also staged a sit-in over the issue of missing persons in the past and I hope our demands would be met," he said.

Earlier, MQM leader Kanwar Naveed Jameel had announced to shift the party's ongoing sit-in from Karachi Press Club to Chief Minister House.

The MQM leaders have been staging a sit-in since Saturday against what they called illegal arrests of the party workers and non-arrest of the workers' killers.
