Terrorists Muhammad Arbi, Rafiullah, Qari Asif Mehmood, Shawaleh, Muhammad Zeeshan, Nasir Khan, Shoukat Ali, Imdadullah, Muhammad Umar, Sabir Shah, Khandan and Anwar Ali were tried by military courts. According to ISPR, Muhammad Arbi son of Hafiz Muhammad Sadiq was an active member of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was involved in abetting the attack on Bannu Jail, owing to which a large number of terrorists managed to escape from the jail and also caused injuries to police constables and soldiers.
"He was also involved in attacking a law enforcement agency which caused death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence," the ISPR stated.
Terrorists Rafi Ullah son of Muhammad Miskeen and Qari Asif Mehmood son of Muhammad Anwar were active members of Sepah-e-Sahaba. They were involved in abetting the murder of Syed Waqar Haider and causing injury to Abdul Sattar Tahir in Lahore. Rafiullah was tried on two charges while Qari Asif was tried on two charges and awarded death sentence.
Shawaleh son of Gul Khan was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking a law enforcement agency, which caused death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
Muhammad Zeeshan son of Abdul Qayyum Khan was an active member of al Qaida. He was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offence before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried and awarded death sentence. The ISPR said that Nasir Khan son of Khan Afsar Khan was an active member of al Qaida. He was involved in attacking armed forces which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
Another terrorist Shoukat Ali son of Abdul Jabbar was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking a law enforcement agency and armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on five charges and awarded death sentence.
Tehrek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members Imdad Ullah son of Abdul Wajid and Muhammad Umar son of Saida Jan were involved in destruction of an educational institution and attacking a law enforcement agency, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. Both admitted their offences before the magistrate and the trial court. They were tried on five charges and awarded death sentences.
Sabir Shah, son of Syed Ahmed Shah, was an active member of the TTP. He was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death of soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence.
Khandan, son of Dost Muhammad Khan, was also an active member of the TTP. He was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence. TTP militant Anwar Ali son of Fazal Ghani was involved in attacking armed forces, which resulted in death and injuries to soldiers. He admitted his offences before the magistrate and the trial court. He was tried on three charges and awarded death sentence. Banned outfits' operatives were tried by military courts, which were established unanimously by the Parliament after December 2014 attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar.
