In a major development, Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Co-ordination Committee has formed a nine-member 'Supreme Council'.
Aaj News reported that Co-ordination Committee of the MQM made this decision at a hurriedly-called meeting in London. The newly-formed 'Supreme Council' will work in case of "immediate unavailability of MQM chief." 'Supreme Council' will also guide the Co-ordination Committee.
The committee appealed to officials and workers of MQM to maintain unity among their ranks. The Committee also decided to appoint Nadeem Nusrat as permanent member of the Co-ordination Committee.
