Hussain Al Shammaa, Chief Executive Officer, Bakri and Honorary Investment Counsellor for Pakistan. He has more than 35 years of experience serving the Oil industry of the State of Kuwait. Hussain Al Shammaa is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Bakri Trading Company Pvt Ltd (BTCPL). His previous assignment was with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation as Assistant Managing Director incharge of marketing strategy and commercial supply and logistics.

He is a very prominent figure and well renowned in the oil industry of Pakistan, he has a rich and thorough experience in Pakistan energy sector and related Government organisations such as Pakistan State Oil, Ministry of Petroleum Natural Resources, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) to name a few. Hussain Al Shammaa obtained his BSC degree from the University of Kuwait in 1973.

He is a member of the Board of Directors in the following companies:

-- Overseas Oil Trading Company Ltd, Pakistan

-- Bakri International Energy Company Ltd, Kenya

-- Bakri Pakistan, played a vital role in the development and completion of 70,000 mtons state-of-the-art Storage Terminal at Port Qasim and another 60,000 mtons storage terminal making Bakri the second largest terminal and storage holder in Pakistan and third inland terminal at Machike, last currently developing fourth terminal at Shikarpur. Concluded Fuel Supply Agreements with IPP's and established a network of about 300 retail outlets across Pakistan.

He was a Board Member of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company and also a member in various Opec committees.

He also represented in the Kuwaiti Parliament Elections.

Mirza Shakil Baig

Baig holds an MBA degree from USA and dual bachelors' degrees in engineering and laws.

He has over 30 years of diversified and accomplished national and international business management experience. Extensive experience in petroleum industry, leading roles for billion dollars projects development, execution, management and operations. Experience in oil sand production facilities, oil supply logistic, marketing and distribution, networking and stakeholder management.

Baig has worked for Worley Parsons Canada, one of the largest multinational engineering services companies in the world and Shell Canada. In Pakistan he worked for top large organisations, as General Manager operations worked in Pakistan State Oil Company, as Manager cross country pipeline project worked in Shell Pakistan and as flight engineer worked in Pakistan International Airlines.

Baig has managed oil marketing, distribution & oil supply logistics for the largest depot distribution net work in the country, and managed mega size projects for oil storage and distribution facilities including oil terminals, aviation fuel hydrant at airports, cross country pipeline systems, oil sands oil production facilities and gas processing and compression facilities. He has the privilege of working for all the JVs operations of the oil marketing companies in the country. Baig apart from his stints in Pakistan has worked in Canada, Greece, SaudiArabia, Libya and Oman.

Sohail Butt

Deputy Managing Director and CFO, Bakri Pakistan

Sohail Butt carries an extensive international and domestic exposure in financial management and business development to his professional career spanning over 30 year in UK, Pakistan, Kuwait, Canada, UAE & Qatar.

Currently he is associated with Bakri Pakistan since May 2015 working as Deputy Managing Director after having served Pakistan State Oil for over two years as the Deputy Managing Director (Finance & IT).

Sohail holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from University of the Punjab and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) as well as a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). On the back of his professional experience in senior financial management roles with a particular concentration in the energy sector value chain (Oil Exploration & Production, Refining, Petrochemicals, Energy Technologies and Fuel Marketing), he also has expertise in the areas of project and corporate finance, cost and budget control and implementing change and transformation initiatives through IT technologies.

During his stint with Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the largest Pakistani entity by turnover as Deputy Managing Director (Finance & IT) he extensively dealt with Ministries of Finance, Petroleum, Water & Power as well as regulatory agencies, stock exchanges and financial sector entities across Pakistan. He has worked for over twenty years in the Middle East and has a strong working relationship with the National Oil Companies (NOC's) of the region as well as International Oil Companies (IOC's).

During his international career spreading across three continents, Sohail has worked on financial and business aspects of acquiring energy technologies and fuel marketing entities and forging joint venture partnerships between National and International upstream and downstream sector entities of the oil & gas industry.

He was nominated as one of the delegates of Qatar Petroleum (QP) at the World Petroleum Congress in 2011 and acted as a 'Financial Advisor' for a US $5.5 billion QP QAPCO Petrochemical Complex prior to joining PSO.

In addition to his work in the energy sector, Mr Sohail has also worked in the IT and telecom sectors in Canada and in Financial Services sector as a 'Senior Director Finance' in Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) in early 1990's with special responsibility of working as a 'Chairman of IT Audit Committee' of ADBP reporting to Asian Development Bank.

He has also dealt with various financial institutions including World Bank, regulatory authorities, stock exchanges and investor community in connection with his employment or consulting assignments locally and internationally.

During his illustrious academic career Mr Sohail was awarded four gold medals and a silver medal by Educational Institutions that he studied including Board of Secondary Education and Punjab University for securing highest positions. He was also awarded 'Habib Bank Gold Medal' in 1970 for his academic excellence.

Sohail looks forward to utilising his diverse professional background and experience in helping Bakri Energy Pakistan to achieve its goal of becoming a Public Sector Company during the next year and achieving the company's vision of becoming a diversified fuel marketing, fuel logistics and petroleum infrastructure sector entity in Pakistan that can spread its activities in Central and South Asian region in the times to come in line with Pakistani vision of transforming the country into a major economic hub utilising the opportunities available as a result of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and other International Investment Initiatives.

Muneer Ahmed Esmail

Senior General Manager (Sales & Marketing) Bakri Pakistan

Muneer Ahmed Esmail is the Senior General Manager Sales and Marketing at Bakri Pakistan and therefore heads the 300+ Retail Outlet Businesses in Pakistan and leads the Retail team, Consumer Sales and Marketing Support teams at Bakri.

He is a professional associated with the oil industry for 22 years having worked with Chevron, Pakistan State Oil & Byco at senior management levels.

His experience covers key areas of the Downstream Sector including Retail Sales, Commercial, Marketing Support (Construction, Network Development, Retail Automation, Cards, Quality, Customer Services, Brand Management), Product Supply-Chain (Operations, Terminalling, Logistics, Sourcing), Planning and Project Management.

His last assignment has been with Oil Marketing Company sales at Byco where he has also managed Refinery & OMC combined product supply chain. He has also been involved in Network Planning, Retail Development, Engineering & Design.

Muneer Ahmed Esmail has had experience of managing multi-country teams and worked internationally over 5 years with Chevron Africa-Europe-Pakistan.

Outside of the oil industry, he has worked as Product Manager with Kodak-GTL heading their Health Imaging Business Division in Pakistan and has to his credit the development & launch of the restaurant - Kolachi as well.

Shahzad Manzoor

A professional with 44 years of experience. He did his early education from Cadet College Hasanabdal. And his graduation from Peshawar University. He went on to do his graduation with honours from Baluchistan University and Post Graduate Studies from Karachi University. He did his Masters in Strategic Studies from Quaid e Azam University and there after his MBA from Quaid e Azam University Islamabad.

In 1971 he joined the Pakistan Air Force and graduated as a fighter pilot. In the Air Force he held various Command and Staff appointments. During his two year secondment to the Air Force of Zimbabwe he was the personal pilot of the President and Prime Minister of Zimbabwe. His last assignment in the Pakistan Air Force was a diplomatic posting as Pakistan's Defence Attaché to the Central Asian States.

In 2001 after leaving the Pakistan Air Force he joined Pakistan State Oil and on reaching age of superannuation retired in October 2012. In Pakistan State Oil he held various assignments as Head of Aviation, Marine and Exports, Health Safety and Environment, Quality Assurance, Supply, New Business Development, Security Services and was a member of cross functional policy making teams of Logistics, Retail Development, Product Loss/Gain, Corporate Social Responsibility, Standardisation and Customer Services.

In December 2012 he joined Bakri Pakistan as General Manager Marketing. He held this assignment till 1 January 2016. He is presently the General Manager Lubricants, Aviation, New Business Development and HSE. As General Manager Marketing from December 2012 till he left the assignment ion 1 January 2016 the Company market share grew substantially. Mogas saw a growth of 711 % and High Speed Diesel saw a growth of 541 %. It also saw its Retail Network grow over 200%. Bakri Group entered the Aviation Business by importing 100LL after winning the Army tender. Q8 Lubricant was launched in late 2015. Bakri Pakistan has plans to enter the jet fuel business both in Pakistan and abroad. It has also sort permission to import Kerosene for the local market.

Shahzad is a keen golfer and his hobbies include travelling and doing social work. He is a full member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators. Was the Joint Secretary for three years of the Anti Counterfeit Society. He has been recognised both in the Pakistan Air Force and Petroleum Industry for his outstanding contributions and achievements.

Abdul Waheed Soomro

Abdul Waheed Soomro is an experienced with 31 years in the Oil Industry with dynamic track record of project in many various areas.

Soomro is professional qualified Mechanical Engineer with extremely knowledgeable. He stated his career with PSO in 1985 as trainee engineer in different capacities till 2001 and played a significant role in the development of many projects throughout Pakistan including involves in all kind of operational activities.

Soomro has also worked 5 years with BYCO refinery as Manager Mechanical during the construction, erecting and commissioning of the refinery. Ten years with Bakri Pakistan as General Manager Operations & Projects. Involved in HSE & ISO Certifications, diverse projects, directing professional teams, managing contracts, logistics, schedules and budgets. Oriented to professional excellence. As General Manger, Mr Soomro has started & completed Oil Terminal of 70,000 MT capacities at Port Qasim, Karachi and 10,500 MT Capacities at Machike. Presently he is the focal person for another under construction Oil Terminal at Shikarpur which will be commissioned by June-2016.

Aqueel Lokhandwala

Aqueel Lokhandwala is the Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and has over 30 years of experience in the field of Accounting, Finance, Corporate taxation and Business Strategic Planning.

Lokhandwala stared his professional career with BDO Pakistan one of the leading Intentional Chartered Accountants firm in Pakistan and thereafter worked with various multinational companies including Clipsal Pakistan a manufacturer of electric accessories and Tapal Energy a reputable Independent Power Project located in Hub.

Lokhandwala has joined Bakri Pakistan in October 2013 as General Manager Finance and with his vast experience in the field of finance, accounts and taxation has induced Bakri Pakistan to reach its par excellence and has developed the strong financial control environment within the organisation.

Lokhandwala with his sound financial management skills has efficiently managed the financing arrangement of the Company with different financial institutions to add new financial strength to achieve Company's targeted growth.

Farooq Yazdani Dar

General Manager Supply and Logistics Bakri Pakistan

Farooq Yazdani Dar is an experienced and versatile professional having over 20 years of experience in the downstream sector of Pakistan Oil Industry.

Having proven skills in Supply Chain and Inventory Management, Imports & Operations, Mr Dar started his professional career with Pakistan State Oil (PSO) as management trainee in 1995 and was elevated to leading managerial positions in Operations and Supply Imports.

Since 2009 he is associated with Bakri Pakistan and has held several senior leadership roles in Supply & Logistics, Operations, Non Fuel Procurement, Product Imports, Marketing and in his current role as General Manager of Supply & Logistics, he is responsible for overseeing the imports, supply and distribution of fuels to BTCPL/OOTCL customers across Pakistan. Dar is a graduate in Business Administration from Greenwich University Karachi.
