The chief organiser of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party in the Punjab has rubbished rumours about him quitting the party; claiming, "I am in the party and will remain so. And I do not intend to leave it." Chief Organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar said in a statement released on Wednesday, "The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is a democratic party and hereby all decisions are being made with consultation of workers and the leadership. The people of Pakistan are with Imran Khan [the party head] for a regime change. I do politics of values, instead of power."

He also said, "I joined the party to bring about a change in the democratic system of the country and in the lives of people. It is a matter of pride for me to be part of the party, which is struggling to bring about a change in Pakistan. Pakistan will turn into a welfare state under the leadership of Imran Khan. Moreover, I congratulate the people of Pakistan on becoming part of Imran Khan's vision. The world will witness a prosperous, developed and strong Pakistan during the reign of Imran Khan."
