Teams of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) continued action against power pilferage on Wednesday and recovered Rs 100,000 from defaulters and removed direct hooks and registered cases against accused persons. On the directions of Chief Executive Pesco Syed Hassan Fazil, SDO Warsak 1 Sub-Division detection teams raided different places in Mathra and arrested several persons on the spot using direct hooks.

Similarly, 50 direct hooks were also removed and FIRs registered against the culprits who were identified as Haroon s/o Abdul Aziz, Naeem Khan s/o Ghaffar and Sher Alam s/o Hukam Khan. Pesco chief said drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks would be continued.
