He said that the nucleus of the country politics should be the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and the countrymen and CPEC possessed greater importance for the progress and prosperity of the country, however, the vested interests are against this project. The Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should take notice over the objections of the provinces and remove their reservations in order to avoid making this important project controversial.
He said that corruption and influence culture has destroyed the economy of the country and by appointing incompetent persons on higher seats in important organisations, the roots of corruption have been strengthened. Quoting the report of Transparency International, Liaquat Baloch said that corruption of 94 billion dollars was recorded from the years 2008-2013 which included 12 billion dollars corruption only in Sindh province. The ratio of corruption is being increased 15 to 20 percent every year in the country and there is the dire need of across the board accountability in the country, he added.
He said that the education system is on destruction in the country and the students are getting only degrees from the educational institutions instead to take command in their study. He termed the provision of democratic rights of the students by urging the restoration of students unions in the universities and colleges by the Senate a good sign and said that it because of the continuous struggle of Islami Jamiat Tulba.
All provincial government should lift the ban on students union and hold elections in the universities and colleges for formation of students unions, he said and urged the Tehreek Insaf and Jamat Islami KPK Coalition Government to take initiatives first in this regard.
Among others, Nazim A; laa Islami Jamiat Tulba Pakistan Zubair Hafiz Shaikh, Ameer Jamat Islami Sindh Dr Mairaj ul Huda Siddiqui and Nazim Islami Jamiat Tulba Sindh Hafiz Suleman Khalid also addressed the participants of the convention. Later, Liaquat Baloch gave "Fakhar-e-Pakistan" Award to those students who secured positions from Educational Boards of Sindh. Awards were also given to those who showed outstanding performances in their respective fields of life.
