Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has urged customers with the specific context to the current rains for adopting all precautionary measures. The precautionary measures are included not touching cables and poles because due to rains these may be electrified, so to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for your own safety and do not touch them.

The people have been urged for adopting safety measures including properly earthening of electrical appliances and replacement or taping of all worn out wires and not to touch electrical appliances /cables with wet hands. The customers have been requested to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps and other electrical appliances and also requested not to tie their pets and cattle with the poles and towers. Similarly, the women have also requested to avoid usage of metal wires for drying clothes and not to touch the washing machine with wet hands without switching it off and keeping mate under foot while pressing the clothes.
