Earthquake jolts federal capital Islamabad and parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Aaj News reported at midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. Intensity of the quake on Richter scale was 5.9 and depth was 194 kilometres.

Tremors jolt Peshawar, Charsadda, Shangla, Abbotabad, Battagram, Haripur, Malakand, Buner, Gilgit, Skardu, Diamir, Dir Bala, Mirpur, Murree, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sialkot, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Jhang, Pak Patan, Sahiwal, Chiniot and Sargodha. The quake originated from Hindukash range in Afghanistan.
