As part of its CSR Program, Hub Power Company (Hubco) has signed an MOU with The Hunar Foundation (THF) Karachi for providing scholarships for vocational skills training to 10 students living near Hub Power Plant, Balochistan. With an extensive CSR and community outreach program, Hubco aims to improve the living standards of the local communities by offering them opportunities of development through capacity building and competency enhancement vocational trainings.

Hubco will provide scholarships to 10 students, covering their tuition fee, boarding and lodging charges, for studying at the THF Karachi for a period of one year. The selected students will get trainings in mechanical and electrical trades. The students will also get career guidance and assistance in work placement. The Hunar Foundation program is certified by City & Guilds, UK certification - most widely recognised certification for technical training. Speaking at the occasion, Khalid Mansoor, Chief Executive, Hubco said: "Hubco is committed to growth of sustainable societies where people have access to choices and opportunities for development. We believe that programs like these where individuals can learn new skills to enhance their income generation can lead to guaranteed livelihoods and initiate a long lasting impact."-PR
