The Vice-Chancellor of Lyari University, Professor Dr Akhtar Baloch, Dean of Karachi University's Faculty of Business and Administration Sciences, Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, and Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Hanif Gohar, spokes on the occasion.
Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi said that universities should invite the corporate executives to their departments and bridge the gap between the academia and the corporate sector. He said that the students must be clear about their goal and purpose of education and focus on their respective field to serve the nation. Research culture must be promoted in the best possible manner which is possible with the support of the educational institutions and the corporate industry.
Hanif Gohar said that he was overwhelmed to address a gathering of successful graduates of DPA and see a lot of promise in them for making headway in the years ahead.
Professor Dr Akhtar Baloch said that the students have a pivotal role in the economic growth of the nation and that Karachi University is committed to train the students to meet the new challenges of the corporate world.
He said our country needs such talented graduates who have a firm grip on latest techniques and could come with modern ideas.
