National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has expedited investigations into corruption in Sindh police and has sought approval from Chairman of the NAB for filing reference against corrupt officers of police. According to sources, credible evidence gathered by NAB showed that cars were made bullet-proof at very high cost. Millions of rupees have been plundered in the name of petrol while mass irregularities were detected in food provided to the police and also in the CCTV cameras' installation.

Sources said that making of armoured cars as bullet proof vehicles was being probed for the last several months. NAB also recorded the statements of the officers belonging to various departments in its initial investigations. NAB officer has asked for permission from NAB Chairman for preparing references against the corrupt officers in Sindh police.
