The sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has expressed its displeasure over non-availability of Principal Accounting Officer (PAO) of Ministry of Climate Change in the meeting and wrote a letter to PAC Chairman Syed Khurshid Shah. MNA Shahida Akhtar Ali convened the meeting of the committee. The committee examined the audit accounts of Ministry of Climate Change, National Food Security and Research and Federal Education and Professional Training for year 1998-99.

While examining the audit accounts of the ministries, the committee settled most of the audit paras. However, the committee did not take up the audit accounts of Climate Change Ministry for discussion as the secretary was not available in the meeting to respond to the audit objections raised by auditor general officials.
