KP Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nasir Khan Durrani has directed police high ups to chalk out a comprehensive security plan for the security of sensitive installations. He issued these directives while presiding over a high level law and order meeting of District Police Officers (DPOs) at CPO Peshawar, here on Friday. Additional IGPs Headquarters, Special Branch, Investigation, Commandant Elite Force, DIGs CTD, Operations, CCPO and all DPOs attended the meeting.

KP IGP directed the participants to personally visit the sensitive installations in their jurisdictions and review its security and in case of improper security arrangements make photos of it and issue 15 days warning for its redressal. He said final report should be submitted to the CPO till January 10. Officials were further directed to carry out continues joint search and strike operations in collaboration with Army in urban and rural areas by making its plan and format of six weeks and the targets should be achieved in a well professional manner.

It was also directed on the occasion that during VIPs movement a proper plan should be worked out by keeping convenience of the general public to keep the traffic flow smooth. The participants were also directed to make a contingent of 8 to 10 officials of elite force to be deputed in civil dress for security in hospitals in case of emergency with close coordination of relevant officers by doing rehearsal from them and special rout be earmarked for them for this purpose.

They were also directed to deploy smart and good professional officials for security of important public events and gatherings and they should be directed to demonstrate good behaviour with the public so that the hard earned image of the force can be maintained at all cost. It was also directed that B1 syllabus books the examination of which going to be held in January and February should be provided in all districts so that the candidates could make preparation for it in an effective manner.
