Muhammad Akram Dashti, a candidate of National Party (NP) has won the by-election in PB-50 Kech-3, said unofficial results. The seat was lying vacant after Akbar Askani, who was elected MPA from the constituency on the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League-N, later, was disqualified by the court.

The Election Commission held by-election in the constituency on Thursday. The candidates who contested by-election in this constituency included Akram Dashti of National Party, Muhammad Ali Rind of Balochistan National Party-Awami, Akbar Askani of PML-N and independent candidate Lala Rasheed.

According to unofficial results, Muhammad Akram Dashti of NP has won the by-poll by securing 2,608 votes. Akbar Askani of PML-N secured 2,138 votes, independent candidate Lala Rasheed got 1,210 votes and Muhammad Ali Rind of BNP-Awami 922 votes. Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Sultan Bayazeed said 69 polling stations and 138 polling booths were set up in PB-50 Kech-3 constituency for the polling of by-elections. "All polling stations were declared sensitive," he said, adding the total number of registered voter was 58,699 including men and women. Tight security arrangements were made in and around polling stations where heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies including Frontier Corps Balochistan, Police and Levies Force were deployed.
