Islamabad Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Major Raja Zahid and his cousin on charge of killing lineman of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO). Police official said they arrested Raja Zahid and Minha Muneer and registered FIR against them under section 302.201/34 for killing an assistant lineman Mehbood Ahmad. Major Raja Zahid killed the lineman when he tried to disconnect the power supply of his house located at DHA Phase-II as he failed to pay the bill for the last three months.

Police registered the FIR on the complaint of the deceased mother Zubaida Bibi. According to police source, when the lineman reached to Zahid's house to disconnect power supply of his house, the army officer resisted and then brought a weapon from the house and opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. Sources said army officer bundled the deceased body in his vehicle with the help of his cousin and dumped him in Gujar Khan.
