"Happy new year to you all."

"Thank you, and to you too."

"This is kind of civilised, I like that."

"Indeed so how will you celebrate the new year?"

"I will say my prayers early morning and then...."

"Are you being facetious?"

"Hey we live in the Islamic Republic and what do you expect to do by the way?"

"I don't know celebrate."

"How? And before you say anything let me warn you that you are resident in the Islamic Republic and..."

"Well not engage in anything un-Islamic for sure then."

"What does that mean?"

"I am not sure what that allows you to do but I am sure of what it does not allow you to do."

"That reminds me of favourite poet William Blake's poem."

"Is he a Muslim?"

"Oh for Pete's sake!"

"It's just a poem."

"Who are you? I don't know you..."

"And so we welcome 2016."
