If you've got an email all ready to go, but don't want it to be sent for a while, then it's time to look into delayed delivery. In Outlook, after writing the email, go to the Options menu, followed by More Options and then the Delayed Delivery item. Once there, pick a time and date for the message to be sent, reports German computer magazine PC Go. At this point, shutting the email and hitting Send stores the message to be sent at the appointed time.

Meanwhile, Thunderbird users can opt to time-delay an email by installing the Send Later app and then going to File and Send Later. From there, pick a time and date for the message to be sent. However, the service will only work if the computer is on at the designated time, with the email programme running and an internet connection active.

Meanwhile, Gmail customers can also prepare emails at their leisure and have them set to send at a desired time.
