Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has offered assistance to the French government in countering terrorism. He said Pakistan is determined to root out the evil of terrorism. On Tuesday, Prime Minister visited French embassy in Islamabad to offer condolence over the loss of lives in the Paris attacks before he left for his official visit to Tashkent. "We share the pain and grief of French people," the prime minister said during a meeting with French Ambassador to Pakistan and other officials of embassy.

"This was an appalling incident; we are ourselves the victims of terrorisms," he said adding that Pakistan is ready to assist French government and state in this hour of need. He said Pakistan would share its experience on counter terrorism efforts with the French officials. The prime minister during his meeting with the officials of the embassy said the government and people of Pakistan are determined in war against terrorism and our country will continue to contribute in defeating terrorism.

The prime minister said the government and people of Pakistan stand by with the people of France during this critical moment and sent his condolence message to the French government. French Ambassador to Pakistan thanked Pakistani Prime Minister for his gesture. He added that French people and government have a lot to learn from the brave Pakistani nation.
