The Pakistan Muslim League-N and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are leading in Punjab and Sindh provinces, respectively, as unofficial results of the first phase of the local government elections held on Saturday in 20 districts of the provinces kept pouring in. According to unconfirmed and unofficial results, the PML-N has so far secured 611 seats, independent candidates 463, PTI 128, PPP 26 and PML-Q 21 in Punjab while in Sindh, the PPP got 564 seats, independent candidates 130, PML-F 50, and other parties 22.
