Chief of Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) Ahmed Chinoy on Tuesday resigned reportedly over differences with authorities. According to a private TV channel, Chinoy has sent his resignation to Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad. The new CPLC chief will be appointed within a period of one week. It is to be mentioned here that on January 27, Rangers personnel had raided the residence of Chinoy for his reported contacts with criminal elements. It was reported that Rs 1.5 million were also recovered from Chinoy's house, which was believed to be ransom amount. However, the CPLC chief had denied the claims.
