The Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, on Saturday lauded achievements made by the armed forces in intelligence-based operations against terrorists. Speaking at a briefing held in Corps Headquarters Peshawar, the army chief also vowed to continue `Operation Zarb-e-Azb' till complete elimination of terrorists. During the briefing, General Sharif was apprised of progress made in the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan.

He was also briefed about intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas. The CoAS also stressed the need for co-ordination among all the agencies for dignified and timely return of temporarily displaced persons to their homes. The displaced families are expected to start returning to their homes this month.
