Nawaz Sharif stated that they would enhance capability of police in this regard. He said endeavours would be made to root out menace of terrorism once for all. He stated that National Action Plan would be instrumental in eradication of terrorism from the country. The Prime Minister further said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb was moving with success. He thanked army for training police to fight off terrorism.
Premier Sharif while asking the passing-out personnel of the elite force to perform their duties diligently thanked General Raheel Sharif for taking personal interest in the training of elite force. The Prime Minister said General Raheel Sharif and he would soon meet political and military leadership in Karachi and Quetta. He said war on terrorism was a struggle of every Pakistani. Expressing deep grief over the bomb blast attack on Shikarpur imambargah, he said it had hurt the entire nation.
Meanwhile, according to ISPR, General Raheel Sharif in the function of passing-out parade stated that Pakistan Army was committed to training all law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) and building their capacity to collectively work for security and law and order. General Raheel said that the training capacity of security forces had been enhanced and the programme would be further expanded across the country. Pakistan Army's Special Services Group (SSG), Punjab Police and Turkish experts shared high standards of training in the fields of investigation, intelligence and special operations. The first batch of 468 corporals who passed out during the day started their general training, including Elite Police course, from April 2014. The second batch of 462 corporals joined the training in June 2014 and would complete its two-month specialised training on March 31, 2015.
