Iran has agreed to supply two thousand megawatts electricity to Balochistan. This was announced by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik and Governor Sistan-Balochistan Aqai Ali Osat Hashmi while addressing a joint news conference in Quetta, here on Sunday.

Dr Abdul Malik said that one thousand MW electricity each would be for Gwadar and rest of the province. He said Pakistan wanted to implement Pak-Iran gas pipeline project as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister invited Iranian investors to invest in Pakistan's fisheries, industry, and mining sectors. He said border committees of Pakistan and Iran would meet on 27th and 28th of this month to discuss ways to prevent border incidents.

Governor Sistan-Balochistan said Iran accords much importance to its relations with Pakistan. To a question, Hashmi said some mischievous elements wanted to create disturbances on the border to harm Pakistan-Iran relations.
