He harshly criticised Pakistan People's Party Co-Chairman Asif Zardari, saying that the man who once indulged in black-marketing of cinema tickets had nothing to do with the masses. "I had been saying for the last six years that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari are the two sides of the same coin. Both are an insurance policy for each other," he added.
He challenged Nawaz Sharif to a live debate. Rashid alleged that Khawaja Asif received commission in Tarbela project. "PML-N leadership is in disarray due to sit-ins. Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif are not on the same page," he claimed. He also came down hard on Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He claimed that there was a rift within PML-N in Punjab. He asked Nawaz Sharif to explain why he had not deputed a deserving ambassador in Qatar and why a banker post4ed there.
