Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan on Thursday vowed to introduce the best local government system to resolve local issues. In 'New Pakistan' no parliamentarian would be allocated development funds, he added. Addressing a huge public meeting in his hometown Mianwali, Imran thanked the people of Mianwali, particularly the womenfolk who came out of their homes for any public meeting for the first time, and said this meant that "revolution has reached every household".

Praising the size of the crowd, Imran challenged Nawaz Sharif to gather even 20 percent of PTI's Miawali jalsa in interior Punjab, it would accept that no vote rigging had taken place in the 2013 general election. He vowed not to end his sit-in in Islamabad until the Prime Minister resigned. He said the PML-N won the elections through rigging and told the people that their "Captain" had found Nawaz Sharif involved in vote rigging and would not allow him to go scot-free.

Imran said he would get "Pakistan free" as he had never surrendered in the past and would not allow the people to surrender to rigging now. He asked the Prime Minister not to resign in a haste. Imran said he had never seen such a big gathering in Mianwali before, adding that PTI was holding "this massive rally" on a three-day notice.

He tendered an apology to people of Mianwali, saying he did not pay attention to them as he was fighting a war against "oppressors". He added that PTI would introduce a system where oppressed people get justice without any difficulty. Khan said the nation had decided to make a 'Naya Pakistan' and set aside the old one where people were made to pay in the form of taxes while the rulers enjoyed on their money.

He said the majority of people in Mianwali were farmers but they were not getting due return of their produce. He assured them that on coming to power, he would extend them all the facilities that were being enjoyed by the farmers of India. Imran said he was happy that the entire nation had awakened and now no hurdle could come in its way towards making a 'new Pakistan'.

Referring to violence in Wazirabad, on Wednesday, Imran said "who ever will thrash the people who chant 'Go Nawaz Go' slogan will be violating the law of the land because there is no monarchy in Pakistan. According to him, if any 'Gullu Butt' commits the crime he will be sent to jail. Responding to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Imran said raising 'go Nawaz go' slogan was every Pakistani's democratic right.

The PTI Chief said a university of international standards would be established in Mianwali where students from abroad, Pakistan and Mianwali would get quality education. He said he was thankful to the people of Mianwali who voted for him to send him to National Assembly for the first time.
