Prices of grams were down on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the grams side, Grams Australia No.1 fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4800, Grams Dall Australia No.2 shed the same amount to Rs 5300, grams 50x50 also lost equal amount to Rs 4800, Grams Dall 50x50 dropped the same amount to Rs 5300, yellow peas Russia fell sharply by Rs 200 to Rs 4400 and the yellow peas Dall Russia also lost same amount to Rs 4900, they said.

On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 3625 while the best type maintained overnight level at Rs 3700, Basmati/D98-Shahdadkot inferior type was inert at Rs 8500 and the best variety was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 8600, other types were unmoved owing to balanced demand and supply position, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type slipped to Rs 1850 and the best variety was lower by Rs 75 to Rs 1875, they said. On the cereals side, prices were unchanged, they added.
