According to sources in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, the government is all set to reconstitute the entire BoD of OGDCL, adding that after completion of the tenure of the current Managing Director (MD) of OGDCL, Riaz Khan, there are many candidates running for the slot and Lieutenant General Abdul Qayyum (Retd) is among them.
"It totally depends on the government to whom it selects for the post of MD OGDCL, but Lieutenant General Abdul Qayyum (Retd) is a strong candidate along with some seniors officers of OGDCL," sources added.The current Board of Directors consists of the following: Riaz Khan MD OGDCL, Fahd Shaikh, Syed Masieh-ul-Islam, Abid Saeed, Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Mohammed A Rajpar, Raza Ullah Khan, Sheraz Hashim and Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, Chief Secretary Balochistan.
