Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday. The Army Chief briefed the Prime Minister about the security situation in Karachi, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. The Chief of Army Staff also shared the details of yesterday's terror attacks in Miran Shah, Waziristan where nine valiant soldiers embraced Shahadat.

The Prime Minister expressed his grief over the loss of precious lives of Pak Army soldiers and said that "the sacrifices by our patriotic soldiers will not go in vain." The Prime Minister also congratulated the Army Chief and the nation on the successful training launch of Short Range Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile Hatf III (Ghaznavi).
