An Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday summoned former president General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) on April 25 in judges' detention case. ATC Islamabad judge Ateeq-ur-Rehman resumed the hearing of judges' detention case against the former president and issued notices to guarantors of General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) in the case to appear before the court on April 25. The ATC ordered them to ensure appearance of Musharraf on the next date of the hearing.

During the course of proceedings, advocate Ilyas Siddiqui, the counsel for Musharraf, submitted a detailed medical report of his client and sought exemption for him from court appearances, citing his health condition and security reasons. Prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish opposed the exemption and sought an action against Musharraf; however, the court rejected his request and granted him one-day exemption due to his illness. The court adjourned the hearing of case till April 25.
