Unidentified motorcyclists lobbed a hand-grenade at the main entrance of the Recorder House, which houses Business Recorder and Aaj News, leaving two employees injured. The incident took place at 7pm yesterday. The injured were Guard Rasool Baksh, and Driver Abdus Sattar who were rushed to a nearby hospital. According to DSP Zahid Hussian, a hand-grenade was lobbed at the main BR's gate and some ball bearings were found from the scene. According to him, investigations are under way.

According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), "it was a locally-made bomb, which contained 250gm explosive material." No one claimed the responsibility of this attack till filing of this report. Minister of Information Sharjeel Inaam Memon, Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain, JI leader Munawar Hassan, and others condemned the attack.

MONITORING DESK adds: FIR of attack on Recorder House has been registered against unknown men at Soldier Bazar Police station, a private TV channel reported. According to the channel, two unknown men riding on a bike hurled two hand grenades at Recorder House on Monday.
