The two-day long 169th Corps Commanders' Conference started here on Monday at the Army General Headquarters (GHQ). Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif chaired the meeting, which was attended by all the Corps Commanders. On the first day of the conference, the participants reviewed various internal and external security matters, including the government's ongoing talks with Taliban and the security situation at Pak-Afghan border and the Line of Control, sources said.

According to ISPR, the two-day conference is part of routine monthly meetings. On the first day of the conference, the forum discussed at length various professional matters. The participants also undertook a comprehensive review of prevalent internal and external security situation in the country. The second day of the conference is devoted to promotion board from Brigadiers to the rank of Majors-General.
