Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the first Arab, first Muslim, first royalty and first Saudi to go into space arrives in Islamabad on an important official visit. During this visit he will meet the top leadership of the country, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamoon Hussain.

After the change of government in Islamabad, Saudi Arabia is further warming up its relations with Pakistan. Both countries enjoy very close, historic relations. HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, is the President and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA). Prince Sultan had been a pilot in his initial life career; served as Deputy Director for the Saudi Arabian Olympic Information Committee at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, California; served as Acting Director of the Department of Advertising at the Ministry of Information; had become an officer in the Royal Saudi Air Force and had also flown into space.

HRH is on an important visit aimed at strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. His visit comes as a prelude to the upcoming visit of Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Salman Ben Abdul Aziz to Pakistan. During his stay in the capital Islamabad, he will undertake visit to important historic sites as well. The Prince will visit Sultana Foundation tomorrow along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Sultana Foundation is one of the leading NGO working in the area of Education & Human Development for the past 20 years.

He is one of the key members of the royal family of Saudi Arabia. 'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, that you see today is really the custodian, has inherited an incredible history and basically what we are doing today world-wide, and our position today in the world now, initiatives that King Abdullah - a very energetic and a very diligent King has been pushing these big issues around the world in terms of whether its the terror issues, or the world economy, the stabilising role Saudi Arabia plays in the world economy - a bigger role- is really build upon really thousands of years of civilisations' the prince was quoted to having said in a recent interview. Adding 'So we are basically the custodians of great civilizations and we continue that role. It's not an invented role, it's not a new role, it's a rightful place for us to be and we cherish that role and we welcome it and we want to share it with the world.'
