President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mehmood and Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif in recognition of their "long meritorious services." The investiture ceremony heldhere at the Aiwan-e-Sadr was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif besides members of his cabinet, the Services Chiefs and federal secretaries.

The President also hosted a reception in honour of the guests. Earlier the President had a meeting with the CJCSC and the three services chiefs.
